As an adult, I've always looked down on the concept of the drive- thru. Despite the fast food element, which is reprehensible in itself, the idea that a person won't even get out of one's car to purchase such food seems doubly awful. That being said, I have definitely visited on occasion, but rarely. Potential exceptions to my drive-thru snobbery include drunk and stoned college students, maybe a celebrity that doesn't want to get out of the car, although, Britney makes a career out of being seen in the drive-thru, and perhaps a family of Eight that would rather keep all the kids car-seated than have to wrangle them in the restaurant.
I especially hate places that have unnecessary drive-thrus: Places like Dunkin' Donuts on the East Coast, or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on theWest Coast, where you really have to be a lazy fuck to use it. In fact, most of the time, it takes LONGER to sit on your ass in your car to wait for a donut and coffee than it does to park it, go inside, pay and bring it back to your car. Never mind the 14 calories you would burn engaging in such an activity.
